When first given the assignment to write a letter to someone, I was surprised. The last time I wrote a letter or that I had to write, and mail was in middle school. I had forgotten where to put my address, simple things that I should know and remember. I can’t believe that I forgot how to, just the fact that my mind went blank. I really enjoyed this assignment, writing to my brother who was in college at the time. After doing this assignment the first time, my brother and I continuously wrote each other until he came home from college. Before starting any essay or writing assignment we had to write out a draft. Also, had the same process when writing a revision. I liked this process of writing and being able to prepare myself for the final draft. When writing you can see your mistakes and be able to come back to it, when typing you might erase something and not be able to get back. I don’t know why; I like to write with pen and paper more than I do typing. The overall experience was very helpful. I would like if there were more opportunities to turn handwritten assignments. Before having to type any assignment, I write everything. It just helps get all my ideas or whatever I want to write about down on paper. My least favorite assignment is having to do the quizzes every week. If we were able to still have class we would discuss punctuation, mechanics, and grammar. Also, having a better understanding of the material when talked about in class. Presenting my essays on my blog, felt like I had an audience to write to. Feeling as though I can be heard through my writing. Even though there were assignments I might have not liked, they helped me grow as a writer.
I organized my reflection by writing it down on paper before typing. I started by describing each subject, what assignments I liked and disliked. My reflection essay is more like a series of my reflections throughout the semester. The strongest element of my reflection is when I talked about the assignment I enjoyed the most. I able to explain the assignment and go into detail about why I liked it.

I feel like we have all grown as writers while being apart of this class we’ve all learned so much about writing as a whole. and how it is a good thing to keep in touch with people when there far away like your brother. and its ok to be scared when going to a new place for the first time it just takes some time getting used to it
